Kids work like real adults

As their families are very poor, many children in Vietnam’s northern mountainous region have to work very hard to support their families.


This boy in Lao Cai province is carrying a big log of wood home. He said this wood will be cleaved as firewood.

This Thai ethnic boy in Yen Bai province has to pull this piece of wood through a 6km path to his home to use as firewood. This is his daily work.

This girl, less than 7, in Ha Giang province, has to herd three buffaloes and collect firewood.

The two H’mong girls in Yen Bai province have to go to forest to seek firewood after class.

This boy carries 10kg of rice from Ha Giang province’s Quyet Thang market to his home. He has to pass two mounts.
